Valentine L.A. Wedding

We adore being a wedding photographer but especially-so when we get to shoot in the sunny city of Los Angeles! Rita + Denis asked us to photograph their Valentine LA wedding – a wedding venue we hadn’t yet shot, smack-dab in the middle of downtown Los Angeles, we started to ponder all the photos we wanted to make…They told us early on that they loved our cinematic style, so we really wanted to make sure that our photos delivered the old Hollywood wedding quality they were looking at for their own Valentine LA wedding.

Beginning their wedding day at the Hotel Figueroa, also in downtown L.A., Rita+Denis enjoyed a slow build until they saw each other at the first look which also took place at the hotel. It’s really a gift when we receive an expressive bride in which to photograph, but the bonus is ten-fold when we get an expressive groom. It was so much fun to photograph these two throughout their wedding day because they were both so in love and expressive about it – such an inspiration. They’ve been together already for fifteen years!

What we really loved about photographing a Valentine LA wedding was that the venue itself was so interesting! Many, many plants, textures, reliefs, moldings, – all under a big glass roof – adorned this once multi-purpose building, built in 1920 (see their website linked below for all the hats this venue has worn before it was a wedding venue in Los Angeles). The other bonus to photographing this Valentine LA wedding was working with the lovely Cynthia from With a Flair Events, who kept the day running smoothly and who made the day extra beautiful.

One of our favorites, this Valentine LA wedding, our beautiful couple, and wonderful planner, made this an unforgettable day and a wedding we’ll never forget!
