You’re going to have to bear with us – as this is one of our longest posts, but once you see this Stratus Vineyard wedding, we hope you’ll see why! Sometimes, all the elements are just in place – and for a photographer, that means a couple (and their guests) that are SO open to being photographed without any pretense whatsoever. Mel and Tom were just that! Gracious hosts, so excited to have their day documented, but at the same time not doing “things” for the camera – just themselves, as they are.
Their Stratus Vineyard wedding in Niagara-on-the-Lake was our second time at this beautiful (eco-friendly) venue. Amid the bustle of the busy Niagara-on-the-Lake streets, the vineyard is just a 5 minute drive away, on the quietest of roads – you feel like you’re at your own private estate. Melanie and Tom centered their day around spending time with the people they love the very most – and it showed! Even though we had the chance to take SO many portraits of the two of them (in so many locations), we never really spent more than 15 minutes taking formal poses. This Stratus Vineyard wedding will forever be in our hearts, and we hope these photos remind these two loves of all the joy in the world that was and is there for them! Cin Cin!
