There are certain jackpots of wedding photography; A lovely, well dressed bride and groom. A jolly extended family. Blue skies. Warm-cool weather, slight breeze. Lots of time. Beautiful details. Several locations. Manhattan. This was the case last October when we were invited to photograph Roseann, a vivacious wedding and lifestyle photographer, and Thomas, a thoughtful photojournalist for Verdens Gang at their stunning Locanda Verde wedding. An afternoon traipsing around town taking photos, a moving ceremony, and finishing the evening off with dinner at Locanda Verde with their friends and family.
Everytime we have a chance to return to New York, we take it. Joel had spent much of his twenties working in New York, so we love staying an extra day or two to explore as much as we can of this beautiful city. With Rosann and Thomas, we stuck to the TriBeCa area, rode the subway, found a few empty (surprisingly) streets and of course, what’s a New York wedding without a visit to Central Park?
Dinner at their Locanda Verde wedding was just as beautiful! The restaurant features a gorgeous courtyard, and long harvest tables for all the guests to enjoy. Wine flowed freely at cocktail hour, and just after the sun set (and we had a final portrait session), it was time to eat.
What a day it was, and how lucky we are to share in such incredible experiences with wonderful people. This wedding was recently featured in Junebug Weddings.
