On a fine September afternoon, Holly and Steve tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in downtown Ottawa surrounded by friends and family. We’ve photographed several a Fairmont Ottawa wedding over the years but there was something about this wedding that resonated a little longer (maybe because of that crazy beautiful sunset – see below) or because these two were the epitome of elegance and gracefulness. Their reception venue – The Chateau Laurier – is one of Ottawa’s most elegant venues and was a perfect setting for this early autumn wedding.
We first photographed Holly & Steve back in May during the peak of bloom and one of the most beautiful Spring days we can remember. Four months later they were blessed with more perfect weather for their big day.
If you’re considering your own Fairmont Ottawa wedding, we’d certainly recommend it. There are few locations in Canada that preserve the charm, elegance, and opulence of this bygone era (early 1900’s) so well.
