From the bride, about her Darlington House Wedding:

OUR DAY: To capture our day in a few sentences seems impossible because of all of the emotions and events tied to that very special day. Everyone told me how extraordinary this day would be and how quickly it would become a blur and all of that is true, but it wasn’t until I experienced it that I actually believed it. Every moment of the day was remarkable and the memories made will remain in my heart for the rest of my life. Our wedding was a bliss filled moment in time with more happiness and joy than I could have imagined. I am truly blessed to be able to start my marriage to my best friend in such a spectacular way, and I am sure our marriage will be a magnificent reflection of that perfect day.

DECOR SELECTIONS: I am a Southern California beach girl and have always been inspired by the ocean and everything surrounding it. The decor and colors were selected because of this inspiration. Without wanting to have a specific theme I decided to incorporate a subtile coastal feel through the colors. The navy and white striped tablecloths brought in a bit of nautical flare. The flowers were chosen because they incorporated a exquisite sophisticated burst of color while representing the soft and romantic look I was trying to target. The venue is timeless and has a wonderful vintage romance with a Spanish feel. I designed Spanish tiles to compliment the venue which were used at each seat. Having an interior design background this fit well with our theme, venue and personalities.

FAVORITE WEDDING DAY MOMENT AT DARLINGTON HOUSE WEDDING: I will never forget the look on Brandon, my husband’s, face when I met him at the altar. He had tears in his eyes and was looking at me with his “I love you” stare. I felt like my heart was going to melt away and in that moment it was just the two of us.

ADVICE FOR FUTURE BRIDES: On your wedding day take some time to thank the people who were there for you the most (parents, close friends and family, etc.). The whole process leading up to your big day can be exhausting and stressful. Emotions can run high and the little things can seem overwhelming. Your wedding day will come and go in the blink of an eye and you’ll look back and wonder how it flew by in what seemed to be a flash. Letting the people who supported and love you unconditionally will not only mean so much to them but will also be extremely emotionally rewarding and memorable for you as well. The moments I shared with those people in my life on my wedding day will remain strong and lasting memories for the rest of my life.
