Despite our best efforts, there are some times that our couples are just too aware of the camera, or feel self-conscious in front of it. It’s natural. We roll with it and, most of the time, expect it. This – beyond the F-stops, lighting challenges, and focal lengths – is one of the main challenges of the photographer. To connect with the subject(s) and create an environment or mood that makes them forget about the production taking place.
This wasn’t the case with Corrine + Marc.
Corrine + Marc blew our socks off quite literally as we found ourselves chasing these two barefoot along the beach in Malibu, California. Completely unabashed, energetic as children, optimistic about everything and very obviously crazy about each other, this was an engagement photographer’s dream team. All we had to do was set the stage (pretty easy on a evening-lit beach in Malibu) and let them play. And they did play. We chased them, frolicking about in the waves, playing it up with each other. Sandy, soaked, their passion for life and love was easily absorbed by our cameras. All we really had to do was point and shoot. They filled the frame with their awesome selves.
Some frames from our delightful session below.
