Jen & Kevin met a couple of years ago at Yangtze, so it was the perfect place to celebrate their nuptials. They planned an absolutely gorgeous and elegant affair with their friends and family – the restaurant was filled to the brim with happy faces, ready to dance the night away. Their wedding day was in September, and despite the torrential downpour, we managed to snap some beautiful photos of these two. You can plan all you like, and the weather gods can still throw a wrench into your day. We have to say though, the rain does make for some very romantic photos – the reflections on the cement, that stormy, dramatic sky. On this day, however, it was like someone was standing over Ottawa, pouring out a giant bucket of water. I think it finally stopped raining around midnight! Despite it all, Jennifer and Kevin could not stop smiling! Between their beautiful church vows, the tea ceremony, the most delicious dinner, tons of dancing and smiles, they managed to be still together, hold hands and let their love shine through.
After a ten course meal (yes, you read that right, 10!), the party really got started. Sometimes, you just get lucky with two incredibly lovely souls, on their most perfectly imperfect day. We’ll let our photos tell the story of this day.
