It was pretty close to impossible to narrow down our favourite photos from Amy + JF’s beautiful, sun-drenched Herb Garden wedding day in Almonte, Ontario. Along with their families, the bride and groom created a thoughtful event that involved the guests in so many aspects of their day. Their beautiful decor and florals were created by JF’s talented sister, the music was provided by JF’s brother in law, family friends volunteered to serve dinner, a DIY photo booth was erected, their officiant was another family friend and the list goes on. This was truly a day where their whole community of friends and family, happily got involved.
We love the simplicity of bohemian celebrations like this. There were minimal vendors involved, only a few key elements that were of the utmost importance to the couple. Amy is a graphic designer and created the invitations and paper products herself. Her gown is a beautiful eco-friendly dress by Cecilia Grace. For eco-conscious brides out there, check out her link at the bottom of this post.
An Herb Garden wedding is perfect for any couple that wants to keep their day simple, bohemian with a little bit of country. Ceremonies are usually placed under a large tree – which makes for great shade cover in case of a high noon vow exchange. The quaint, herbal decor throughout is timeless and lovely. If you’re looking for a beautiful farm in the Ottawa-Gatineau area, the Herb Garden might just be what you’re looking for.
