Mallory and Ryan’s Elmdale Tavern wedding might be one of our favourites of the season. These two created a celebration and timeline that was really about what the two of them wanted, and the enjoyment of their friends and family.
The day started with a small, intimate ceremony at Rockcliffe Park just outside of downtown Ottawa. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a delicious charcuterie board, champagne and home made goodies, catered by the couples friends. After a mini-portrait session in the Rockeries, Ryan and Mallory took a quick time-out for an early dinner, Mallory changed her hair and we met them in Chinatown for a sunset session. It was so easy-breezy! If you’re familiar with Ottawa, we met up with them at the Chinatown gate and slowly walked down Somerset all the way to the Elmdale while stopping for photos as often as we could.
The gritty urban backdrops were a perfect juxtaposition against how lovey these two were together. Once we arrived at the Elmdale, their larger group of friends and family cheers, danced, and celebrated them with tons of food, music and drink. It as a perfectly atypical wedding day.
