Carol Hannah Bridal in New York City asked us if we would photograph one of their gorgeous new gowns – the Azurite. We were passing through Santa Cruz at the time, and jumped at the chance. In the midst of our drive from Los Angeles to California, we’re only too happy to discover new places to photograph. Especially if it means working with designers gowns as stunning as Carol Hannah.
We went for a drive around Santa Cruz, and found this gorgeous wind blog hike through Wilder Ranch. The cliffs here are totally different than those we’re used to in southern California. The beach is a bit rockier, the drop off a bit more dangerous. The bluffs are covered in tall green grasses and as the sun sets, the wind thrashes through the area, stinging your skin. It was all worth it though. We were so inspired here – visualizing a thousand portrait sessions, first looks, and even elopements.
If you’re considering eloping, but are unsure where to start, send us an email. This is our fourth drive (and fourth route) across North America, and we’ve been lucky enough to see more than a few epic locations. For a few more epic locations, check out this Vail, Colorado mountaintop wedding, this Phu Quoc, Vietnam Portrait Session, or this Isla Mujeres, Mexico bridal session.
